Money is Holy

Money Measures Energy

I often overhear in group conversations or read on social media, “money is the root of all evil.” Is it? Does the mere existence of bills and coins force human beings to do bad things? What if we consider that money is actually a measurement of energy in an exchangeable form? It is us, the choosers, who decide to use it for good or ill.

Alternatives and Scale

Those that say such things, vilifying money, often idealize alternatives like barter or gift economies. Barter economies are when individuals trade goods and services directly with others based on mutually agreed upon valuation of those goods and services. A gift economy has its foundations in abundance vs. lack, and works on the idea that if we are all freely giving without requiring an exchange, we can all have more than we need together.

Money is actually a measurement of energy in an exchangeable form.

Both of these systems exist today at smaller scales. They are great when we are seeking simpler things in life like daily meals and fashionable items. But if we want to build something large and complex in today’s world – like developing a property into a multi-story building filled with residences and storefronts, or setting up a worldwide humanitarian organization – money is a much more efficient method to coordinate and compensate the many teams of specialists required to complete an ambitious project.

An Essential Ingredient for Widespread Change

In my experience, those who have negative associations with money rarely have much of it. Why would they carry something so evil in their pockets?

If we are to complete our Great Work in this life, to fulfill a significant life purpose, it is often done at a larger scale. We have big visions and plans and see ourselves making a significant change in the world. To do this, it takes energy and a lot of money. So, we need to create a new relationship with money and energy. Once energy/money enters our world, we become the decider directing the flow, and we have the power to purify and make it a blessing wherever it is directed next. We can start by sanctifying the money we have, making it holy. Place it on an altar at home, or bless it with holy water or sage. Find some way to transmute what the world provides into sacred and holy gifts of treasure ready to make amazing things happen for us.

Employment = Opportunity Limited by Time

It is the acquisition of money that is the sticky point for many. We have no problem spending it, but our access to more is often limited. In our culture of employment, we earn income based on time by wage ($$/hr) or by salary ($$/yr). Making long-term agreements with employers may offer a sense of security, but we do this in exchange for a cap on our earning potential. To be financially abundant, our income needs to be uncoupled from the steady march of time, and reconnected to the value we are creating from our efforts. This needs to be a value that we assign to our labors, and we enroll others in through the fruits of what we are able to create. This is how spiritual beings have a physical experience. Whether or not we believe this, it is our birthright as sons and daughters of the Universe (God/Goddess/etc.).

To be financially abundant, our income needs to be uncoupled from the steady march of time, and reconnected to the value we are creating from our efforts.

If we are ready to live an abundant life and take the leap of faith to unshackle ourselves from employment, the first thing we need to do is place ourselves where money flows. If we exclusively work and live around people with similar access to funds as ourselves, we maintain the same amount of opportunity for us to enjoy a greater flow. We can still work with these amazing people we have so much in common with, but we can also position ourselves nearer to those who have more to work with. We can do this through friendship, through association and cooperation. These relationships do not need to turn into a direct source of income, but mere proximity to abundance can help us gain access to a greater flow. We can establish a greater comfort with money and how it works at scale.

Change in the New Paradigm

Money is an efficient means of measuring energy. Energy does not equal power, but opportunity. What you do with the energy you have can be powerful, or it can be forgettable. Regardless of the things that governments, institutions, corporations, etc. do to manipulate this means of measure, the abundance is there and is flowing to those who know what to do with it, for good or for ill. We can do a lot without money, and that is a worthy goal. At the same time, by stepping into the flow of abundance and controlling a portion of this energy flow, infusing it with sacredness and intent, we can make a powerful impact on the systems that money supports. This is one path toward changing the system.

Abundance is there and is flowing to those who know what to do with it.

We do a disservice to ourselves if we separate ourselves from money because of the choices of others. Even Jesus Christ was abundant in his Life Purpose, receiving the wealth of three nations at his birth, brought a great distance by the three Magi Kings. It is not only possible to be spiritually conscious and socially aware and be abundant… it is ESSENTIAL that a significant number of us master money and the flow of abundance so we can facilitate a smoother shift for the planet as we transition into the New Paradigm. And then we can invest in ourselves, in our progression, giving us a greater ability to serve the world.
