The Modern Mystery School (MMS), offers advanced spiritual studies and metaphysical classes on the tools and techniques passed down by oral tradition, from teacher to student, since ancient times. This organization has a documented lineage of over 3,000 years, to King Salomon the Wise.
King Salomon is a central figure from the Book of Kings in the Bible. He was a radical thinker for his day, establishing the first global meeting of spiritual leaders and healers, establishing a universal system of enlightenment for all people regardless of race, gender or belief system. This planted the seeds of the amazing potential we can see around us in the world today. Initiates of this system including Leonardo Da Vinci, Sir Isaac Newton, Carl Jung and David Bowie, have been working in large and small ways, in the public eye and behind the scenes, to ensure that humanity can prosper and achieve world peace.
Today, the MMS supports us as we to come together to heal and empower ourselves, our communities, and set forward into self-mastery in this lifetime. Each student is invited to join us on a path of self-discovery and spiritual progression. We do not show you the way, but instead, remind you how to find that way for yourself.
The MMS trains and certifies a worldwide network of independent “Light Centers,” where the lineage takes on new members through initiation. These centers offer a variety of spiritual classes, healing sessions, and activations. The international headquarters is located in Toronto, Canada. The eastern world headquarters is located in Tokyo, Japan. Initiates gather in these locations to acquire new skills and certify in the modalities we share with our communities.
Founder & Sovereign Ipsissimus

Founder Gudni Gudnason is responsible for opening the Modern Mystery School to the general public, starting in a living room in Utah and growing the lineage to thousands of initiates in 12 countries by 2004. Gudni has traveled all over the world to further his studies. He was trained in many other mystery schools, including Tibet, Africa, and Romania, and he was initiated into the Celtic, Norse, and Egyptian mysteries.
He was handed down the school's leadership in an ancient native ceremony, and since then, Gudni has served as the catalyst to bring these teachings to the public, both in North America and around the world. Today, Gudni primarily teaches the most senior initiates and his personal apprentices to be the future leaders and teachers of the school.

Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave “THOR” Lanyon is the CEO and guiding light for The Modern Mystery School worldwide. Based in Toronto, Canada, Dave has been on a mission since joining the Lineage in 2004. He has been responsible for the explosive growth of the school, expanding into 55 countries. He has dedicated his life to serving the world by teaching, healing, and helping people from all walks of life to Know Thyself. His background in counseling and mastery of the tools of the Lineage of King Salomon have made him an expert at identifying what is holding each student back and supporting them to greater understanding, wisdom, and self-mastery.
Dave is an initiated Knight Templar who leads the worldwide Order of the Warriors of Light. He is a High Priest of Egyptian Magick, a Master of Enochian Magick, and a specialist in Viking, Celtic, and Egyptian Shamanism, among many other things.

Sovereign Ipsissimus Hideto REI Nakagome joined the lineage in 2000, and has been instrumental in the growth of The Modern Mystery School worldwide, serving as the CEO of The Modern Mystery School in Japan. He is 100% dedicated to the mission World Peace. Hideto has become a cornerstone for the school, serving as charismatic spiritual leader and overseeing the explosive growth in the Eastern World. Hideto is also a practicing Monk of Japanese Buddhism, bringing this system of thought and mastery into our lineage.
Hideto is Initiated as a Priest of Mikkyo Esoteric Buddhism, Viking Shaman, Celtic Shaman, Knight Templar, Egyptian Shaman & more. As a master healer and head instructor of the Ensofic Ray Institute, he brings to the people an awareness of the beauty and good within themselves by sharing a system of healing that provides a pathway back to our original state of harmony with all.
